Folkestone & Dover Water (FDWS) is a water only company which supplies around 50 million litres of water each day to 160,000 people. The company provides services to Folkestone and Dover and surrounding rural areas.  Defra has approved the designation of Folkestone and Dover as a Water Scarce area.

The company draws on water sources in chalk and gravel aquifers.   These sources are now at or near to long term average levels.
